Terms of Service
General Terms
All services provided by The Mobile Boat Guys (MBG) are subject to these Terms of Service. We reserve the right to alter or modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of our services implies agreement with these terms.
MBG provides marine detailing, bottom paint services, gelcoat restoration, and automotive detailing as requested. We utilize the LAMICS™ methodology for Cobalt boats and advanced gelcoat restoration, ensuring every service is conducted with precision and expertise. Our team follows a process-driven approach including dry sanding, advanced compounding, and specialized polishing to achieve long-lasting finishes, particularly for heavily oxidized hulls where traditional techniques are ineffective.
Service Quality
We implement strict quality control procedures, utilizing checklists for completed services. Management may conduct random inspections to ensure quality. If you find our service unsatisfactory, you must notify us within 24 hours of service completion so corrections can be scheduled.
Refunds or discounts are not offered. Corrections will be made promptly if reported within the 24-hour window. Requests made after 24 hours will be considered at the next scheduled service.
Training and Supervision
All MBG technicians are trained under direct supervision of senior specialists. New staff are continually evaluated to maintain MBG's service standards.
Preparing Your Boat
Prior to service, customers must remove personal items, valuables, and any unsecured objects from the vessel. Our team will not lift objects exceeding 50 lbs or detail inaccessible areas. MBG is not responsible for missing or damaged personal property left aboard during services.
North Lake Marina Specific Terms
Customers utilizing services at North Lake Marina are responsible for the following additional fees, payable directly to the marina:
-
Haul-Out Payment
-
Lay Day Fee: $25.00 per day
-
Environmental Fee: $20.00
-
Tarp Fee: $50.00
MBG is not responsible for marina fees. All marina charges must be paid directly to North Lake Marina by the customer.
Payment and Scheduling
A 50% deposit is required to secure service dates. The balance is due upon project completion before the vessel is released.
Excessive pet hair removal and/or biohazard cleaning (vomit, urine, blood, hazardous waste) will incur additional charges, based on severity and required safety measures.
All service times and scheduling are the customer's responsibility. Cancellations or changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid forfeiture of deposits. Failure to provide access on the scheduled service date will result in a full charge as agreed.
Boat Usage Before Final Invoice Policy
Once services commence, the vessel must remain in our care until final invoice payment is completed.
Removing the vessel or operating the vessel before final payment automatically voids any right to request rework, corrections, or adjustments.
By removing or using the vessel, the customer accepts the project as complete and satisfactory.
MBG will not revisit claims after the boat has been operated (e.g., post-event use, recreational outings, parties).
Security and Safety
It is the customer's responsibility to provide safe, accessible entry to the boat, and deactivate alarms as necessary. If keys are required, they must be made available at or before the scheduled service date.
Damage and Liability
MBG takes every reasonable precaution during services. However, we are not responsible for damages caused by pre-existing conditions, inherent surface weaknesses, or aging materials. If any accidental damage occurs during service, MBG will promptly inform the customer.
Scheduling and Cancellations
Peak season may affect turnaround times. A 50% deposit is required when scheduling services during busy periods.
Once a boat is dropped off or placed in MBG's care, it must remain until all scheduled services are completed. Premature removal of the vessel will cause forfeiture of the customer’s service slot and delay completion.
Cancellations or changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid forfeiture of deposits.
Weather and Rescheduling
In cases of severe weather, MBG reserves the right to reschedule services without liability. Customers will be promptly informed of any necessary changes.
Extra Requests and Emergency Services
Additional service requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled service.
Emergency or expedited services may incur additional charges and must be approved before work begins.
No Guarantee Disclaimer
While MBG strives to deliver the highest quality detailing and restoration results, outcomes may vary based on the vessel’s age, condition, material, and prior maintenance.
We do not guarantee like-new or showroom-level restoration unless specifically quoted and contracted separately.
